Ningbo Huamao International School (NBHIS).

NBHIS became an accredited International Baccalaureate (IB) World School in April 2012, the only accredited IB school in Zhejiang Province providing IBPYP education to students age 2-11 and IB Diploma Program to students aged 16-18.  In 2015, NBHIS joined the Round Square (RS) Conference of Schools, an organization that assists its member schools in offering a holistic education that builds persistence, resilience and an international mindset that focuses on helping others.  Through its exchange programs, students from RS member schools can study at over 150 schools worldwide, attend RS conferences with like-minded students and be involved in RS global service projects.  The RS believes in internationalism, Democracy, Environment, Adventure, Leadership and Service (IDEALS), which are also embedded into every aspect of NBHIS education.

NBHIS aims to challenge our students’ minds, fire their imaginations, and train their bodies. We cultivate curiosity, creativeness and integrity, provides our students the tools of rigorous and passionate intellectual inquiry and self-expression for them to grow and shows our students how to be colleagues and friends so they can act out of respect and love. We prepare them to be confident for the rest of their lives and to be life-long learners and problem-solvers.
